The most beautiful time of the year is here. Experiencing live music together connects. For a few days, the festival forms a close and especially unique community. The safety and health of our festivalgoers, artists and their crew, employees and local residents is always our top priority. Enjoy, party, dance and sing as loud and as much as you can but above all do it safely and responsibly. Feel Good Rock Werchter. Need any help? Then we and our partners are there for you.
The Red Cross is ready for small and large concerns. The first aid stations are clearly indicated at the Festival Park. The MUG team from UZ Leuven is also on hand at all times.
Under the umbrella of 'We Care A Lot', Extrema Outdoor, Graspop Metal Meeting, Rock Werchter, Tomorrowland, Festival Dranouter and Pukkelpop joined forces in 2023 with a clear commitment: to ensure that festivals run as healthily and safely as possible.
We want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable. The festival is a place where you can be yourself, free from discrimination, intimidation, or inappropriate behavior. Everyone is welcome in the Festival Park, regardless of sex, gender, sexual orientation, culture, religion, ethnicity, or disability.
Our staff are trained to be vigilant and respond appropriately. Specialists in various fields support us, and you can always turn to a confidential counsellor. The We Care A Lot hotline is available 24/7 during the festival, via WhatsApp: +32 478 51 15 79. You can also contact the team discreetly via the Rock Werchter app.
Be sure to also visit the We Care A Lot stand near North West Walls. There you will find information and support regarding well-being and health, including a focus on the 5 A's regarding transgressive behavior: involving others, distracting, isolating, addressing, and remaining present.

Are you breastfeeding and would you like to express milk on the festival grounds? You can do so at The Milk Factory, a specially equipped and discreet room. You can express milk in peace, clean your equipment, and store it safely. The expressed milk can be kept in the refrigerator until the end of the festival day (collection in the evening). Please bring your own: breast pump, bags, cooling packs, bottles, and other personal supplies.
For 30 years, BOB has been committed to safe traffic. Everyone knows the campaign. Thanks to smart awareness campaigns, checks, and a positive approach, BOB has grown into the ultimate symbol of responsible driving. This summer, BOB will appear at our festivals with one clear message: appoint your BOB before you head home. Expect visible reminders in our communications, alcohol tests, an interactive quiz with a prize draw at the We Care A Lot stand, and even exclusive festival editions of the iconic BOB keychain that the participating police zones hand out during a negative test on your way to and from the festivals.
Alcoholic drinks may not be served, offered or sold to young people under the age of 16. That is the law and it is respected in Werchter. If you are over 16, please know that you are not allowed to offer alcoholic drinks to people under the age of 16. For drinks containing more than 1.2% distilled alcohol (e.g. cocktails, gin and tonic, etc.) the limit is 18 years.
As is the case at every major festival in Europe, crowdsurfing is not permitted in Werchter. This allows festival-goers at the front to fully enjoy the concerts without having to constantly watch out for surfers. This makes it more pleasant and, above all, safer for everyone.
Safety structures are provided at the stages to enhance comfort and safety. Safety corridors with sturdy barriers ensure that our staff and emergency services can intervene smoothly and that crowd pressure is better absorbed.
For safety reasons, wheelchairs and folding chairs are not permitted in the first zone in front of each of the stages.
There is a solid floor in front of the Main Stage. Large video screens are located on the sides of the Main Stage, so that you can follow along from further away from the stage.
Please note: some performances feature stroboscopic light effects. These may affect visitors who are sensitive to photosensitive epilepsy.
Together with Inter, Werchter Boutique is making efforts to make the festival accessible to people with disabilities. We pay attention to the accessibility of the festival site and its surroundings for visitors with specific needs. Read all about our collaboration with Inter.
