The line-up of the one-day Werchter Boutique festival taking place on Saturday 17 June in the Festivalpark in Werchter is complete. S10, Selah Sue and Ellie Goulding round off the bill. Top of the bill is P!NK. OneRepublic and Goldband will also be in attendance along with 60,000 festival goers, for Werchter Boutique is already completely sold out.
Opener S10 has turned into the crown princess of alternative pop in her home country of the Netherlands. Her guest appearance on ‘Onderweg’ by Bazart brought her to our attention in Belgium. And with the stunning ‘De Diepte’, the Dutch entry in the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest, she has conquered hearts all over the world.
Selah Sue is a star in France and the Benelux region. Her debut ‘Raggamuffin’ (2010) was an instant success. She found a home at the renowned French label Because, and her latest album ‘Persona’ (2022) is a meticulously constructed project. World-class from Bertem, a small town near Leuven.
Anyone who was at last summer’s Rock Werchter and caught the opening act on Saturday was part of the greatest lunchtime party ever. Who was responsible for all that unbridled joy? Goldband. Catchy songs like ‘Noodgeval’, ‘De Langste Nacht’, ‘Witte Was’, ‘Dit Is Voor Jou’ en ‘Alles Kapot’ have made the three plasterers from The Hague world-famous in the Low Countries.
Ellie Goulding’s trademark is singalong pop with an electronic touch. A singer-songwriter on the dancefloor. Goulding’s biggest hits in Belgium are ‘Burn’, ‘How Long Will I Love You’ and ‘Love Me Like You Do’. They’ve earned her one appearance at Sportpaleis (in 2016) and two at Rock Werchter (in 2014 and 2016). She presents her new album ‘Higher Than Heaven’ in late March.
Ryan Tedder, frontman of OneRepublic has a special gift: writing big hits. One Republic made their debut in 2007 with 'Dreaming Out Loud'. The dreaming has paid off. It’s no coincidence that they achieve more than 40 million streams every month on Spotify. ‘Counting Stars’, ‘Run’, ‘Apologize’, ‘Rescue Me’ and their latest single ‘I Ain’t Worried’ are recognisable from the first note.
Headliner P!NK is renowned for her breathtaking live shows. It’s the combination of a grand production and her immense talent. After her Rock Werchter 2019 show, Belgian weekly Humo wrote: "The single exclamation mark in P!NK’s name is an error. There should be at least four. The charisma, the fun, the production, the songs, the voice...” This summer, the fans can look forward to another unforgettable live experience during P!NK’s Summer Carnival 2023. P!NK made her debut at the end of the ‘90s. Her blend of pop and powerful rock-influenced vocals is a winning combination that has made her a chart regular for decades. P!NK is one of the most successful pop artists in the world. Her ninth studio album, ‘Trustfall’, is out on Friday 17 February.
