Think English-language music, but in Dutch. With the genes of Gorki and Spinvis and with the impact of Clouseau. Bazart made their breakthrough in the autumn of 2015 with the instant classic ‘Goud’. ‘Better quickly to hell than slowly to paradise', is the refrain. It takes you straight to paradise. Their debut album ‘Echo’ (2016) went to #1 in the Ultratop chart. The first ever Belgium newcomer to do so. More was to follow: five MIAs in 2016 (and two more the next year), on stage at all the major summer festivals and two sold-out shows at the Sportpaleis. Pukkelpop 2018 saw the premier of their album ‘2’ (2018), a worthy follow-up with guest appearances by Baloji and Eefje de Visser. The single ‘Maanlicht’ (2019) is – already – a record-breaker: the longest ranking at #1 for Bazart in the Flemish Ultratop. Chapter number 3 is being written.
